Some Non-Iraq News...

Well, amidst all this flypaper brouhaha, a litle announcement. I've just gotten married in Manhattan City Hall! OK, it was just the civil wedding, with the main event to follow in a couple of months. But still, wish me and Mrs. Djerejian the best of luck...

Congratulations! I don't suppose you snagged her using flypaper? :)

Bravo! Best wishes for you and the Mrs. That has a poetic ring to it.

The ultimate triumph in bilateral diplomacy! My congratulations to you both. Regarding somewhat more pedestrian matters, Greg, expect an e-mail sometime this weekend.

Of course, if you are . . . um . . . too busy to answer e-mails in the near term, I understand. And approve.

Congrats!
I hope your new wife last you longer than she did others.

Congratulations! Good Luck.

Just saw Art Linkletter on Larry King -- 93 years old; 70 years married.

My wife just had a new baby -- babies are even more meaningful than marriage, and a big part of the reason.

Again, good luck...

Congratulations! Of course, with the big one upcoming, I can only imagine how irregular your blogging's going to get. But thanks for the excellent ideas you do have time for.

Congrats! Of course, in some places, you can have more than one wife, which really is flypaper.

You should go to Iraq for your honeymoon and celebrate the glorious creation of democracy you argued so hard for

I wish you all the best. I think taking a break from talking about current events once in a while is a good thing.

My wife and I got married there, too. Almost 35 years ago. As in most things New York, it can only be good!

Congratulations, Gregory, and best wishes to you and your new bride. May you have every happiness that only marital union can bring.

Oh...and if the main event takes place at the Armenian Cathedral in Manhattan and you notice some raffish codger on the groom's side that you don't recognize, that'll be me--the crasher--come to shed a tear.

And you actually tok the time to blog about it! I hear blogger spouses accrue an automatic 10 points in the sainthood column every time you post on a holiday -- 15 points if it's surreptitious to boot. All the best to you and Mrs. Greg!

Congratulations, warmest wishes. And if someone accuses you of being too much the optimist, point to your wife! ;-)
Much happiness, always.
